8 pin power connector

Hi all,

I recently uprgraded to a Core 2 Duo system, however I kept my Hiper type R 580W PSU. Unfortunately this does not come with an 8 pin power connector.

Can I buy these seperately or is a new PSU going to be required?

A lot of boards don't actually require it, the standard 4pin "p4" aux is sufficient, have you checked your manual?

Yeah i've just had a look, says it won't power on without it, i've searched and found 4 to 8 pin adaptors so probs get one of those.

i have a type R and a dual core cpu, an with the 4-pin it all works fine
