Hi would the above work on the following pc:

Intel i5 10400f 2.9ghz
16gb ram
GTX 1060 6GB.

And are these quests worth the money?

How future proof is it and is game support more common?

You can use these headsets entirely without a PC - But according to the Meta requirements page your PC is more than capable should you want to connect it. I suppose there are more games and stuff available if you connect to PC but I'm not entirely sure.

I read that VR can mess with the development of balance and coordination in young children so I only allow short sessions for my kids.

GPU looks a little weak. An RX 580 was just about acceptable a few years back so I'd aim for a least a RTX 3070 if you want to game stream. You also need good, direct WiFi so a dedicated SSID range extender with an ethernet connection to the PC.

Unless you can hit a solid 72fps then risk of motion sickness.

Quest 2 is old now, but is the most popular headset so likely will get game and updates for a while longer.
