Hello,

Seen as my old Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 failed this week I thought I'd order some new RAM and sell the RMAed Ballistix when that arrives.

I'm undecided between Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5, OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz and Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX

I was considering going with Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 but I'm not really sure I need 4GB. I run Vista and game a fair amount. What do you think?

My confidence in Ballistix RAM isn't at it's highest as you can probably understand but if you feel that's the better RAM then I'll go with that. I won't be overclocking my RAM. I always run it at stock timings and voltage so I can get the longest life out of them. (Pretty funny seen as my old RAM died after 9 months at stock :p)

I went for the Crucial Ballistix but since they are near the same price as the g.skill now with half the ram it seem like the right choice to get 4GB of G.skill :D

I'm going with either the G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB) or Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB) or OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5.

Just not sure which would be best considering I will only be overclocking the CPU to 3.2GHz and don't overclock the RAM or graphics card past their stock.

Probably best going for the Corsair then.

Tho I would go for the Geil if buying 2x2gb CAS5 PC6400.
