All,

Don't really know what the usual operating temperature is for a P4 as i am an AMD man, but is 80 degrees c a normal?

My mate said the PC kept cutting out, so i imediately thought of that. Temperature has come from the BIOS.

Pentium 4 3.2Ghz - Hyperthreading Technology

Thoughts?
 
Especially as it's in the BIOS doing nothing.

It has the standard HS&F plus 2 case fans, one blowing air out the other sucking air in and pushing it around the case. No thermal compound is on the CPU.

Also, it is running with the case off.....
