My graphics card is running under load at about 80 degrees C. Is this safe or should I look at getting an aftermarket cooler? Thanks.

graphics cards can run that hot and still be fine they usually start buggering up around 140C so you have a fair amount of head room. personally if i see my GPU going over 60 i tend to get nervous and whack my w/c full whack.

Depends on the CPU. The CPU in my laptop does low-80s without any bother. I don't like it doing that, but I don't really have any choice in that matter - and one would assume that a manufacturer such as Dell know what they're doing (it's a business-class laptop that really ought to be able to handle it).

The same can't be said for the nVidia chipset they saw fit to put in it though, but that's a different thread. :/

I've already ordered a new cooler. It's the blue glowy one. :D

Yes, that's right. I care more about aesthetics than quality. :p Although to be fair, I've heard it's pretty decent anyway.

Edit: I assume it's okay to use normal thermal paste like I use on a CPU cooler?
