Hello chaps,
Looking for a new graphics card - the longer it can last the better but it will be upgraded in the not too distant future.
Will be paired with a ASUS M4A785TD-V and a Phenom II X3 and 2GB Kingston 1333MHz ram.
Will be playing Fallout 3, TF2 (competitively, so need a very decent fps although it is a cpu intensive game), Fallout New Vegas (if I havent replaced by then), NFS:Shift, NFS: Undercover, and L4D2
Cheers guys,
Cookeh

If you must stick to the <£80 budget:

HD4770 512MB:

Or if you can push you budget further:

HD5750 512MB (performance around same level as GTS250 and HD4850, but it uses much less power and run cooler):

Or if can push even further, grab a 5770 1GB (£120-130).

If you would consider 2nd hand cards, you would be open to mores options with good cards at low price.

I rfecently purchased a XFX HD4770 for my wife's gaming pc which is doing a good job of running Fallout 3 and L4D2 albeit at a relatively low 1440x900 resolution (all settings max in game though with some AA/AF). It clocks well too if that interests you.

At this price point I would be looking at HD4770/HD4850 (if you can find one this cheap) / GTS250 or perhaps a HD4870 / GTX260 on the used market (I am aware you state new in the title but it may be worth a look).
