Hi. I currently have a laptop but it's pretty much on it's last legs and ready to die any moment from now.

I have always wanted a gaming rig (desktop) but could never really afford one but i have got a bit of cash and need to buy one ASAP as i depend a lot on my computer.

I would like to run games such as league of legends on high settings and also Total war titles etc and i know they're highly demanding. I know my budget isnt HUGE but with your guys help im sure i could get somethng that will help me run them.

My objective is to spend less but get the most value. I want a good system that will run games smoothly without any lag and possibly on high settings.

Advice, build tips, anything will be GREATLY appreciated. :):)

Thank You!"

Is this budget just for the system or does it need to include monitor, mouse, keyboard?

Well.. I don't have a monitor, or keyboard. However, i didn't want to include them in the budget as it would really weaken my specs. I know the titles that i want to play are highly demanding so if i included them then they wouldn't run well if i weakened the specs?

I was just going to borrow a keybord and use my tv for the mean time until i got more money for monitor and keyboard.

This would be my suggestion then, you could save yourself a bit of money if you wanted by going for an RX480 but I personally prefer Nvidia cards myself.

Is spousal acceptance factor an issue? If so you might want to go for an ITX build - look at the Silverstone and Cougar cases. Otherwise Gibliotech nails it.

And a keyboard and mouse combo should only cost you a tenner or so if you go to a supermarket. (They're a competitor to OCUK in this regard so I can't name them.)

We do have some cheap keyboard/mouse combos like the LMS data bundles, and as Quartz says if spousal acceptance is a factor then here's an alternative config :)

(I've included the keyboard bundle in the basket as well just so you know which bundle I'm referring to)
