Added a new heatsink, but if you already have an aftermarket one that supports LGA1155+56 then thats the same as 1150 so you just need new paste.

Then that leaves money left over for win8.1 etc.

My last question is about the stuff currently in B grade section. Is one of the monitors in that section priced at around £299 worth the extra £100?

The 4K requires much more GFX horsepower.

That 2nd one does look nice and is 1440P so not totally out of reach for a GTX970.
