Hey Guys,

My friend wants to buy a new PC to play X-plane on high settings with photo realism setting etc and he was looking at buying something like this:
Corsair Carbide 330R Case
Intel Core i5 4670K Processor overclocked to 4.3GHz
Corsair H80i Cooler
Asus Z87-A Motherboard
GeForce GTX 760 2GB Graphics Card
8GB PC3-10666 DDR3 Memory
24x Sony DVD-RW Drive
120GB Samsung SSD
1000GB SATA 7200rpm Hard Disk
750watt Corsair PSU
Onboard High Definition Audio
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM or Windows 8

He doesn't want to build it himself and I can't convince him otherwise, so what do you guys reckon about this build or can you recommend something similar from the overclockers store?

Thanks for the help =)

Remove the competitor link as it's against the rules.

That PC is not good value at all. Poor GPU, slow 1066 RAM. It is also £1000 including VAT.

So to clarify - do you have £800 or £1000?

This goes tad over £1000 but should do fine for sim'ing at 1080P

Could you build it for him, with him. Then he will want to build his own next time when he sees how enjoyable and rewarding it is to do.
