£800 budget

I need a desktop replacement laptop, Will be using photoshop and 3d rendering software. I will spend £900 at a push

would be nice if it could play fallout3 maxed out also :cool:

3d rendering software aye, might be wanting a Nvidia GPU for that as it will or should be able to use cuda which would help out a lot for the laptops CPU

problem is finding one that can do it for £900

I ended up going a bit over budget

I got the MSI GX740 for £999..
specs:

17" (1680 x 1050)
Intel® Core™ i5 430M Processor 2.26GHz
4GB DDR3 1066MHz
ATI® Radeon HD5870 1GB
2.5" 640GB SATA HD

Still a massive spec for a small, budget.
Without doubt the best buy for the money....

a GTX470 in a laptop....hate to see the battery life

Can I ask where you got this from?

I can't find anywhere in the UK with it in stock.
