As title, where is £800 best spent if I'm trying to find something with a dedicated GPU, 16GB RAM and an i7?

Not overly fussed if it has to be outlet/refurbished, currently got my eye on the Dell Inspiron Gaming 15 (7566), but I'd have to upgrade the SSD from the 128GB it comes with. Panel is only 1080p (shame I can't find one with the QHD panel).

Anything better out there?

For this much increase in performance, can you find another £100? - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/b-gr...00hq-nvidia-gtx-980m-8gb-gddr5-bg-53a-ms.html

Sorry should have stipulated, don't want to go larger than a 15" (15.6" or whatever it works out at).

17" is simply too large and cumbersome to travel with all the time.

Would also be useful if it looked somewhat professional, rather than a Tomy "my first laptop". Gaming laptops look terrible 90% of the time.

LOL, fine and fair point.

Worth looking on the Dell refurbished store for a bargain.

The one I'm looking at is Dell Refurbished, but through my account manager, rather than the outlet.

Clearly upset an MSI owner above you though, must have touched a nerve :p

You haven't touched a nerve ! Why would you have ? , all I'm saying is you really want a lot for £800.

I don't want anything more than I've already found, just wondering about options as I don't want to go in blinkered.
