Not a fan of ASrock, go for an ASUS instead. ASrock = budget brand.
Make sure you get the low profile vengeance ram to keep your CPU cooler options open.
Mechanical hard drives are way overpriced currently, i'd get a Crucial M4 SSD then add mechanical storage when prices return to normal.

Ivybridge could well be out next month. If you wont be building for 3 months then it makes sense to wait and do a spec closer to the time.

Ivybridge is just a die shrunk Sandybridge, no real difference. But yeh, if you build in a few months time may as well get the IB equivelant, as long as the price is similar.

at the end of the day it depends if you can afford to spend a little more

I think I'll go for some G-Skill 8GB Ripjaw Ram, the same price as the vengeance and will allow for a hyper 212+ CPU cooler in the future. I hadn't thought about that before, thanks

They will if you want to buy used, don't expect bargains on new chips however.
