£800 gaming build

Not a fan of ASrock, go for an ASUS instead. ASrock = budget brand.
Make sure you get the low profile vengeance ram to keep your CPU cooler options open.
Mechanical hard drives are way overpriced currently, i'd get a Crucial M4 SSD then add mechanical storage when prices return to normal.

Ivybridge is just a die shrunk Sandybridge, no real difference. But yeh, if you build in a few months time may as well get the IB equivelant, as long as the price is similar.

mobo - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-342-GI
psu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-003-XF
ram - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-095-KS
case - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-101-AN - small case but it does the job! temps are pretty good
same cpu
Heatsink - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-CS - ive overclocked to 4ghz and it never goes above 49c
HD - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-252-SE
graphics - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-178-OK

at the end of the day it depends if you can afford to spend a little more
