My friend is after a new build but wants to utilise some of his existing hardware. Maximum budget is £800 inc shipping.

He will be using it mainly for gaming (BF3) and virtualisation (MS Enterprise Admin exams) and occasional photoshop and HD video editing. The only requirement he states is 32GB ram - I suggested its overkill, but he's sticking by it as he’ll be using up to 6 VMs at once.

He wants:
CPU
motherboard
ram (must be 32GB ram)
graphics card

Existing kit to be re-used:
22" LG - 1680x1050
CORSAIR 620HX
128GB M4 ssd
500GB hdd
PCI creative live sound card
Antec P182
DVD writer
mouse
keyboard

How does the following look?

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2048MB - £330
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) – Retail - £185
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 - £113
Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Quad Channel - £150

£778+ shipping

advice welcome:)

if its heavy VM work then it might be worth taking a 3770k

If 800 is a hard ceiling then drop to an £80 mobo and some cheaper ram, will be worth it.
