Hello :)
I'm looking to buy a new laptop with a budget of about £800
It would be for general usage, browsing, school work, watching movies and the like, but good sound quality is a bonus. 15 inch screen is preferable. So far I've looked at getting either a:
Dell XPS 15
Or
Acer Aspire V 15
Either of them a good idea, or are there better options? Thanks

I am looking at buying a laptop around this price range as well.

You might want to have a look at the ASUS N551VW-FW258T as well, as it offer possible the best audio out the the laptops in the range with its external portable mini-subwoofer. It has a good IPS display as well, and premium like build quality. Really considering buy one myself.

Hello !! guyz you can also get ultrabooks for less than $600 and some for under $500 online and/or hunt down the occasional discounts.
We are from the UK, so we don't get as great deals as in the US...

As for Ultrabook...yes they are light and portable for work purpose may be, but they are no good for entertainment, multimedia purpose with the small display, and with no dedicated graphic card for gaming.
