Then pick a GPU, GTX1070 (whatever price that maybe) or AMD Polaris is being announced soon or maybe there will be a GTX1060 or something for the lower end of the market.

When are the 1070's due? The build is for a friend that is pretty keen to get his hands on a PC! I'm guessing a 970 would be the way forward if they are a little way off?
