Basically, i've done a lot of research and have come to the conclusion that is the best card for the money that I can get at the current time.

So I was wondering if you have/know of any setups that include the GTX570?

Im planning to go with an i7 too. However, if an i5 2500k is chosen and it means I get a better PSU and Motherboard then I'm willing to go for that.

I have all peripherals already, but I do need a hard drive. I would be perfectly happy with a 500GB hard drive at the moment and I can get an SSD later on, I'm more concerned about the Motherboard, CPU and GPU at the present time, than extra memory.

4GB RAM would be fine, 8GB if it can be included. :D

This will be a self build so any ideas are massively appreciated.

I'd like the system to be as 'next generation' as possible in terms of upgrades.

(this is my second post, sort of changed what I wanted a bit, I'm new to the forums so pardon my n00by questions )

But the motherboard and psu are currently out of sock.

Would you like two alternatives for these items?

Thats fine, thank you!

I'll just wait until they're back in stock. Ive heard really good things about the Z68 so i think i'd rather wait and get something that is quality. :)

Again, many thanks.

Are you sure you need an i7? the i5 is perfect for gaming.

HD prices are obscene atm, forget about getting one untill prices come down again, or buy a second hand one.

Spend that money on a 128GB SSD drive.

Ram is super cheap atm, get 8gb min, 16gb if you want to take advantage of current prices. Might sound a lot but turning some of it into a ram drive can be super awesome.

You simply cannot go for future proofing at all when it comes to your GPU, as next generation gpu's are out pretty soonish.

A ZX68 main board will typically be able to accept ivy bridge CPU's when they are released tho.

for £830, using parts from other sites and so forth across the web, I've got an i7 2600k and 8GB Kingston RAM added on to that spec. :D

Nice i7, 8GB RAM, GTX570, I can get used to that.

how much have you found the i2600k(£230 retail, £228 oem) and 8gb kingston(£40) ram for? looks like ocuk have reduced the price of the i2600k as it was £255, and have increaded the price of the i2500 was £168 the other day.

today is the last day for the msi cashback offer

the graphics card price is till tomorrow night/wednesday morning(not sure what time the offers change wednesday).

do you plan on sli in the future? the triple slot cooler will restrict the air flow if you do.
if you don't plan on it go for the gigabyte z68ap-d3(£85) and 650w version of the psu(£63 today 6 left as I type or £70 normally).

put the money saved(£63 if you get the psu on today only offer, £56 otherwise) towards the i2600k if you must and get the 8gb ram and itill come to ~£830-£840(depending on the psu).

for £1 mor you can get the pioneer dvdrw which is retail so you get a copy of nero with it.
