south's above is the stronger base unit . 6 cores vs 4 and 6gb 1060 has a higher core count then 3gb version !

comes with Win 10 though

This is configured so that it comes with Windows 10 installed but not purchased. Cheapest option would be to find a key and activate it (which will ultimately take you to £850 total). Until such time, it's perfectly usable. A watermark will appear after a month or so if you still haven't activated. It's also configured without a graphics card, so you just contact OcUK and ask them to add the Palit Jetstream RGB GTX 1060 6GB (if it stays at that price). This card is currently £50 cheaper than the other Palit 6GB Dual available through the configurator, and it's also better, so win-win.

Aye, that's another way of doing it. He could also trim the 16GB memory in my spec, for 8GB instead, and then the 144Hz monitor you specced would fit nicely in budget (or thereabouts).

think it was posted up here that 6GB version doesn't fair to badly with 8gb of ram compared to 3gb version only 8GB instead of 16GB

even coffeelake i3 will still be a good performer and is often underlooked - not surprised is your a 4th-7th gen i5 owner haha - but you've managed to squeeze in 8400 and gtx 1060 nicely so compromise wouldnt be needed :D

Like so (and also going for the 480GB SSD that @southernorth specced):

Well, Windows comes installed, just not activated and no key. The key would make the total for the last spec about £870 give or take a couple of pennies.

ah thats great, I thought with Operating System: Unwanted its just a built PC (maybe test on drive with OS ) and shipped off . damn good if it is shipped all installed but no key!

Yeah, some time ago the question was asked here and a member of staff said they have to install it to install the drivers and check everything. So I assume that remains the case as it must still make sense to have to do that.

makes a valid point and can see solves a lot of "self inflected issues" coming back to them -

looks like combining it all leaves a very nice package ! not sure if 240 sdd+ 1tb would be worth it over 480GB .. @Endrance_uk - quick question- if needs arrived would you be able to install another storage Drive yourself ?

Then go with the last posted build above, worth the slight extra ! Pending on the game, gtx 1060GB can hammer over 60hz High settings at 1080p ..

Fortnite on high will hit 90-115fps !
