Looking to build a gaming pc with a £800 budget at most, would like it be around £700, but if the extra cost is worth it then sure.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Edit: Budget doesn't moniter, keyboard and mouse ect. Just the Tower

+1 for this build

what do you want out of your system? would you want to look at Sli / Xfire later on? or do you just want a pc you can build today and have for next 2-3 yeard solid?

If your looking at upgrading your system as you go you could get the below. then save your pennys for a SSD.

Right now on to some options to save money:
Could get this Graphics card instead to save £28:
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X
7850 vs 7870

OEM CPU saves £5 but only 1 year warranty (retail is 3). I personally think CPU warranty is the least important as they rarely fail.
Also comes with retail heatsink which probably gives it better resale value.

For the power supplies:
Xigmatek Centauro 600W Shorter 3 year warranty (others are 5) and noisier fan but saves £7.
OCZ ZT 550W I think the fan is slightly louder on load and is 50W smaller, but 550W will power every graphics card I think and its £2 cheaper.

HDD:
Toshiba 1TB/URL] £8 cheaper but 2 year warranty instead of 3. HDDs have quite a high failure rate so I think this extra year is worth the extra cost, but its up to you to make your own decision.

That thermal paste is better, i have the 750 watt version of that PSU and i can vouch for its reliability. Plus if its anything like its 750 watt brother, its nice looking, deadly quiet and all wires have great length.

Sigh. Again with the RAM.
OcUK RAM is branded, its just whatever they have overstocked in!

Im goanna contact them tonight and ask what the ram currently is

the stock thermal paste will be fine tho and he can save the £8. i always use the stock. people get so worried about that its 1 degree or even .5 of a degree hotter.

but if you want paste take a look at: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18416535 aritic 5 comes out one of the best

Yes I relised this last night and now have started specing it, but most people seem to keep clear of it.

Stock paste will be fine. can't deny that.

think thermal paste can make more of a difference that just .5 - 1 degrees. that review you posted shows that.

arctic 5 is equally good choice to be fair. both thermal paste would do a much better job than stock

is it the below one btw?

I personally don't use the thermal paste you get with cpu coolers, dont know what im using. (i know that sounds daft as it will work, and do an ok job im not stupid just personally prefer to buy some)
