8000 v 8500 ram

I have the chance of this used at a reasonable price:

4GB G.Skill DDR2 PC2-8000 PQ Series (5-5-5-15) Dual Channel kit

Or buy something like this one:

It will go in a Asus P5Q mobo. My concern is if there is a differance between the two speeds and quality in day to day work?

You'll only notice the difference if you are doing some extreme OCing of the CPU where DDR1000 becomes the bottleneck to more OCing.

Thanks for the reply. Im not an extreme overclocker so I guess the G skill is the better option used as its cheaper.

I've got the G Skill Ram and running it at 912 mhz, with my FSB @ 380. If you need to run a higher FSB you shouldn't run into any problems.

barely no difference between the 66mhz, unless you went to 1200mhz or more the difference is just benchmark numbers, hardly no performance difference
