hey all got 800d but problem with activity light keeps blinking all the time had 2 other comps with activity light which didnt do this any info greatly appreciated

What is the problem exactly? It's an "activity" light, it's supposed to blink :confused:

It should only blink when you HDD is being accessed?

If that is the problem then it is nothing to do with the case but the motherboard. I don't think the case has the capability to spontaneously blink unless it is receiving signals from your motherboard?

Could you clarify your problem please, whether it blinks before your HDD is being accessed, or it blinks when your HDD is running and doesn’t stop blinking.

Just unplug it from the motherboard if it irritates you!

If it doesnt blink thats the problem. No blinky no thinky. (doesnt work)

hi cheers for replies the light blinks on idle when the screen saver is on and when im playin games jus kinda thought that its not good if the hdrive is constantly runnin, have corsair 128x ssd and fan controller will this make a difference?

Hmm do you have indexing service enabled? Not sure what OS your on? But could be that your pc is indexing whilts other activities are occuring (then again it could have always been that way and you've simply never noticed?)

Not that I'm an expert, but while playing games is the pc not having to constantly load textures to them display... ?

The same with the screen saver if it's graphics based?

Correct. Not to mention the fact that even if your computer is "idle" hudreds of services and applications may be running in the background, including anti-virus software - all of which use the hard drive to access information.
