Hey guys,

Im hoping some of you are able to give some suggestions on how to increase the airflow efficiency of a Corsair 800D case.

Also it would be great if you could include which direction the flow would be moving from fan to fan.

Thanks a lot!

Oh sorry..

Ive got a CPU loop going already and im in the process of pricing up either an additional loop or an extension of the current loop for my 2 GPU's.

Im just looking for ways to maximise cool airflow into the case so as to cool the rads as much as possible.

Basically what im asking is for a suggestion to increase airflow as much as possible into the case. Im aware its a poor case for air cooling but I want to have the most air sucking into my case as possible so as to reduce the temps in my rad and whatever isnt currently watercooled.

I appreciate that it can be a bit tricky without knowing full specs but thats because I don't currently have one.

Simply stating 6 fans on a rad at the top of the case is great. Im currently using 3 as a pull method to take the air out which im not convinced are doing a great job. On load my CPU hits only around 38 degrees but its not overclocked and im sure I could get better out of it.

As for the rest of the case I don't feel like im getting the most I can out of the case with cool air coming in without chopping anything up (ill only end up ruining the case tbh).

So yea simple suggestions as to what type of fan to put at what point and why.

Oh and in regards to the fans on the radiator, would you suggest the airflow to be sucked down into the case or upwards out of it (I have the latter currently) and moreso what fans would you suggest to place on either side of the radiator.

Also in regards to that radiator id love if someone could explain how to get the fans and radiator in the case easier. I struggled like hell trying to get it all aligned and inside the case last time.

I just thought.

Theres a mod for the 800d (or perhaps in general) that ive seen a few people use before on this case where it basically sits on top of the PC and allows you to put an additional 3 fans on the top of the case without using up any more space internally. whether or not the mesh has to be cut out I don't know but I do know it is usually screwed into the case. Any of you know what thats called?

Im guessing by looking at that shroud that I will need to drill holes into my case?

Also what size screws will I need to do that?

While im asking what size screws will I need to use to get my 360 Black ICE rad with 2 120mm fans either side of it on?

AND how can I put the rad and its fans into place as easily as possible? The last time I did it I had to hold the rad with 1 hand while aligning the fans and slowly pushing it up hoping that the fan cables were all nicely tucked where I wanted them. Took me bloody ages!
