Where can you get those from? I looked on the Corsair website and they wont ship to UK =(

cheers.

ocuk stock them, fitted mine monday.

Nice!!!

Dont know why I thought i would have to order them direct from corsair!

So i have 4 drives in total one SSD and one HDD both of which are sata 2 but then i also have two HDDs that are Sata 1, will i still be able to use this on that connector?

Thanks.

I found the upgrade kits on OCUK site, not too happy that I have to spend another £22 for these two kits considering the case already cost over £200. Corsair is one of my choice brands, just a pity they didn't get this one right from the start. I'm sure USB 3 & SATA 6GB/s was out before they released the 800D?

Anyway thanks jessjess for pointing this out, I have no choice but to get these kits.

corsair have said usb3 and sata 6 standards were not finalised when they were designing the case so thats why they have produced the upgrade kits.

bear in mind theres the whole design and production cycle before the cases hit the market.

whilst ive had to spend 10% of the value of the case to upgrade it i know that this will last several upgrades whilst still keeping up with the current tech.

dont see many other case manufacturers releasing kits like these!

Fair enough! I am happy to make these upgrades.

Totally agree, well done Corsair :D:D:D

My Vertex 2E wouldn't "work" with the hot swap, tried a few things to get it connecting correctly.

Good to see Corsair have provided these updates though!

800D now with SATA3 hotswap as standard

So got my 800D delivered this week and just to be proactive I'd already got hold of the SATA3 back plate and the USB3 front panel upgrade.

Turns out that it already has the SATA3 back plate fitted  although box/guide do not show this, still missing the USB3's though so at least I can use that. Glad that it has a motherboard header plug now rather
than having to route the cables outside the case to plug into the external USB3's :)

Anyone know when Corsair started fitting the new SATA backplate as standard, must be fairly recent as the latest review I read which was only a week or so old still had the old separate plates for each drive ?

Just getting the parts together for my new build.

Got an intel 510 series in mine, worked fine.
Did have a problem with a standard WD 1Tb drive though, although I think that was due to me being a spaz.

As others have said make sure you get a SATA3 case or insert!
