My Corsair AX860 has started to slowly die but the company I ordered from are taking it back and giving me a full refund so on the lookout for a new PSU.

Looking for 800W+ at least and preferably platinum rated (titanium would be ideal but doubt the budget could stretch that far!)

Would like to keep it below £150 but would stretch it that wee bit more if it meant a titanium rated could be had!

Cheers!

Is this for the pc in your siggy? If so a quality 550w psu would easily power that even with overclocking. Will you be getting a second 980ti at some point?

Yes, PC in sig.

There's every possibility that I will in the future (depending on what Pascal does to prices) so I'd like some headroom!

A year and a half roughly but Corsair's support have been absolutely awful.

that's a shame .... I can understand why you would want to change ,,,,

the Leadex GOLD 850W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black is a good PSU

and the XFX XTR Series 850W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply

I would have suggested the EVGA Supernova P2 850w but it's out of stock on here.

The only other 850w+ platinum unit that's in stock and worth considering is the XFX XTS 1000w. It's a Seasonic built unit but only has a 5 year warranty.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Come down to 750w and you can have the EVGA Supernova P2 750w for a very reasonable £120.
