I was wondering if anyone new how many were made in total production numbers, i had a little look around on google but couldnt find anything.

I have one and wondered about it as i remember it being hard to get one due to limited supply.

If this is in the wrong section please move.

I have one right next to me... I just chucked it in a box full of loads of old computer parts lol.

I remember I paid about £300 for it. I remembered I would never pay that much for a gfx card ever again. :D

I got one as a free upgrade after a bit of an RMA mistake with OcUK many moons ago. They were like gold dust at the time aswell!

My friend had one of these. I remember he was on the OCUK pre-order list for ages before he got it. Lasted a good three years, though.

Mine lasted till just a couple of weeks ago (upgraded, it still works) lol. So that's 4 - 5 years. As you can imagine, I stopped gaming after about 2 years as it just wasn't possible :p

Had one of these, good card in its time. Sold it on to my bro who still has it in his system (doesn't game tho).

they were in good supply eventually iirc it was just the launch quantities of that and the 6800ultra were small enough to make them almost vapourware.

I had one, played farcry great!..

In response to the poster above, I replaced it with £600 worth of sli 7800GTXs and that was the point where I said enough was enough lol!

I also had one! Then went onto a X1800XT and then my current card.

I don't think they are special due to low numbers as I got mine imported from HK as there was sheds loads

i had an even older card a 9800 pro..
daughter has it in her pc playing sims 3.. with a bit of guessing its like 5 years old and still going strong.. cost£299

they were in short supply at first but eventually werent they everywhere? it was the xt-pe's that were gold dust lol

at this time, every card ive owned and passed on as far back as my geforce 4 mx are working to this day :)

I think the X850XT was quite abundant for a lengthy amount of time, it was only the PE versions that were hard to find. I was on the verge of getting X850XT, but stuck with my trusty 9800pro untill I finally got an X1900XT.

mmmm old cards

I had the x850xt PE, bought it second hand off a m8 though , used it to replace an over heating 9800 pro

Still running eq2 in high detail to this day.

First gamers card I ever bought was a Voodoo 2 still have it and all the packaging thats was 11 years ago i think and £220 back then, ouch

Bowza

my 9800pro is just doing the same, i have had other cards but they have been passed along.. i think my voodoo 1,3 and 5 are nocking around too.. lol
