Pretty much as the title says - I have the choice of a 630 or an 805. If I overclock the 805 up to 3GHz, which chip would be quicker?

630 for single core stuff, 805 for multiple programs.

With a good motherboard youw ill get more than 3ghz out of the 805 though, mine does 3.3 on stock volts.

Yes, the 630 and the 805 will probably both max out somewhere between 3.5GHz and 4.0GHz, I'm just trying to get a feel for the relative performance.

What I'm really into the Folding@Home performance - I suspect the 805 should be quicker.

Suprised how the cedar mills haven't really hit the UK as such yet - The 6x1 clocks much better than the original 6x series.

On average there's a 3-400Mhz clock increase, YMMV.
