These days, You'll only get around £10 for a 60gb PS3, But because I'm really nice, i'll pay you £25. No problems. I'll even cover postage.

I was having a good look at the 80GB yesterday and I'm finally thinking of getting one.
There are a couple of things holding me back.
I use a harmony 525 all in one and if I'm to use the PS3 as my main DVD player this would be a major problem. I've seen reference to IR dongles, how much are they and do they work as I think?
HDMI ~ My 42" 1080p TV only has 2 hdmi 1.3 ports. I use one for my Elite and one for Sky HD. I use my Component for my Wii and don't want to use the VGA for the 360 as the TV doesn't support 1080p over it. Are there such things as hdmi splitters so I run the 360 and PS3 in the same port?
Rpgs are my main thing and the 360 has them pretty tied up for the forceeable future. I'd get Uncharted and LBP but that's about it atm; though the eye pet really excites my daughter. When is White Knight Story due out and are there any other exclusive rpgs any time soon that I'm missing off my radar?

I got a cheap HDMI splitter from China from fleabay.
Does the job, I picked one with three inputs and two outputs, so everything is connected to both my TV and projector at the same time. But even cheaper are the ones with only one output, and a choice of something like 2, 3, 5 and 7 HDMI inputs. Does the job fine, except it came with a Chinese style electrical plug
I just popped down to my local electrical store and picked up a travel adaptor for £2, sorted.Vin.
There's plenty of sports games that have multiplayer, all the usual suspects Fifa, Pes, NHL, Tiger Woods etc. They all have 09 versions out or out soon so prob best to wait for them unless you can pick the older ones up cheap. One way to make sure is have a look on the box and it will tell you if its 1 player or more in the first box. Driving games such as Grid and GT5P have split screen multiplayer. Theres a few beat em ups with local multiplayer VF5 can be had cheaply now, and Soul Calibur 4 has just came out, also Tekken 5 on the PSN is a pretty good beat em up. As for shooty action games (lol) Resistance has local co-op and vs modes as does Kane and lynch, Army of two and haze, they may not be everyone's cup of tea but check reviews and see if you like. COD 4 and warhawk have local vs modes only and ther are probably loads more games ive missed. There is a few good multiplayer games on PSN, Calling all Cars, Pixel junk monsters and eden, super stardust HD to name a few. Also coming soon you have Littlebigplanet which is 4 player local or online co-op, Motorstorm 2 which is 4 player split screen, Resistance 2 and several multiplatform games. Thats just a few games i can remember, have a look on PSN for game demos and give some a try.

Dirt doesn't have 2 player split screen (unless I'm missing something) 
Really disapointing in the lack of racing games which offer this now, I think the only ones I have which support it are GT5
, Sega Rally and Ridge Racer 7. I find myself having to go back to GT4 to get my local multiplayer racing fix.
Warhawk has upto 4 people split screen online which is great, worth giving that a go.
