Hi,

I'm trying to find a decent 80mm x 15mm quiet fan. I have a Mini ITX case (its a very cheap £30 one inc a 250w PSU)

Taken apart the PSU and found it has a slimmer fan in it 15mm.

I can't seem to see one on OCUK?

Anyone have any ideas on a decent manufacturer of slim quiet fans.

On a separate note is 250w enough for :

i5 2500k
8 GB ram (2 x 4 gb)
Intel graphics only.
1 x 7200 RPM Disk
1 x SSD
1 x DVD

As if its not I may be better finding a complete replacement PSU.

Evercool Slim 80mm Case Fan (google that)
Yate Loon may also make some.

The 250w psu is more than enough for that, it's ample.

Thank you for your help.

In the end I discovered a rather nasty green coloured Hiper Flow, on eBay which is think is discontinued.

What do you do with the third wire though? I am trying too replace a 80x80x15mm PSU fan with a near silent version, but the circuit board requires just two pins. Probably red and black. What do you do with the yellow?

nothing. red and black are power, yellow is for monitoring speed and is used if you plug a fan into the mobo but your cpu doesn't need it
