8200 or 8400

what MB are you using with the cpu, because if your MB has a low FSB wall then the extra £20 will seem like a good investment if not then you could just save your money

Im building a new pc for age of conan so far the spec is:

BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz
Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU
Dell TrueColour E248WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX
Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLi (Socket 775)

i already have one 8800gt so will be running Sli

just not sure about an 8200 8400 or q6600 as AOC supports dual core so not sure if quad core will give any boost

Thanks

it's definately worth it for the extra multiplier i'd say. should help you keep the Vcore down.

I think the level of vcore required is more dependent on the quality of the core not the multiplier it runs. Some e8200 can run 4GHz with very low vcore, lower than the average e8400. You’re generally going to obtain a higher clock with the e8400 thanks to the higher multi though.
