Hi All,
I'm going to upgrade my 2nd PC which has an AMD FX 8320 running at stock and I want to keep this particular PC on a AMD platform.

I was thinking of upgrading to the Ryzen 5 1600, is this worth the speed increase from the 8320 or should I spend abit more on the higher clocked Ryzen CPU? I wont be doing any overclocking on this PC and will only be used for gaming.

Thanks, on side note. A few days back from the US and AMD drops their price of Ryzen CPU's reading for Threadripper  Anyone know will this be reflected here in the UK too? As I might wait for a few weeks if another Ryzen price drop is coming.

I will be replacing the GPU too, it's currently 670's in SLI but i be going back to single GPU now.

It's a hooked to a 1080 monitor which is staying so I might get a GTX 1060 or something similar.

I have decided, the 1700 it is! Not going to buy a GPU at the moment as the temp mining craze is making the GPU's a bit over priced. So Im going to grab an Samsung 960 Evo NVME drive to replace the SATA SSD whats currently in there. Should see a nice speed boost along side the 1700.

Already purchased my 1700 for £275 :) That was enough of a price drop to justified getting that over the 1600.

Installed over the weekend. Big leap from my 8320, only slightly behind my 4790K on the benchmarks.
