Currently have an 8350 @ 4.8ghz and was looking for the best upgrade.

Current specs -
[email protected]
980ti
16gb ram @1600

Wanted to try an Intel platform as the cpu now is 3 years old and wanted a cooler system with less power draw.

What would be the best upgrade path with a 350 budget?

Also right now I have a h80i which is quite loud but got it second hand for £30 so any advice on a really quiet cooler outside of the budget to overclock my new cpu with decent temps?

Thanks

I moved from a [email protected] to a i5 [email protected] and its the best thing i did, the PC in genral seems quicker, not as hot, SSD seems to be quicker.

I am also using a h80i with 2x sp120 quiet editions at 1000 rpm, btw, i paid £287 for the i5 chip asus z97 pro gamer board+ i got a free headset with the mobo.

I would have got a i7 4790k but could not afford it, if you keep the h80i, you should be able to get a i7 instead of the i5 :)

I actually purchased two sp120 fans and run them at the same rpm and i can still hear them. Sounds like a slight buzzing.. Got them to replace the loud stock fans. Unplug them both and near silence.

Maybe I just have great hearing

That looks like a good combo. Might have to try it.

I hate bottlenecks in older games due to single core performance. Not getting everything out of my ti
