Right now there's an offer on the 85" Sony TV

Link

Now my local shop doesn't have any i can see in reality so i'm putting a lot of faith in reviews and others opinions.

Does anyone here have an opinion on this model or series and also TVs of this size in general....
I know its potentially going to be "odd" a bit ghosty? or is that a thing of the past....

I currently have a 1st or 2nd gen OLED 55" from LG and tbh its fairly decent and will be finding a new home elsewhere in the house.

Mounting it to the wall will be a challenge and probably require a lot of effort but thats another issue :P

The price is still a it eyewatering but that's Sweden for you....

I can use the EU distance selling act and shop has a Open purchase for full refund for 30 days so.....

Help

Hi, I have the 65 inch version of this TV. I also have a 55 inch XF90 so I can only give you my opinion.

The XH95 is a very good TV. It has excellent black level, amazing viewing angles, colour etc. It beats the XF90 in every way during my usage. I consider it the best LCD from the Sony range at the moment and chose it over an OLED.

I game on it with PC at 1080P at 120 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz. It has low input lag and isn't a problem for me as a PC gamer.

The HDR is very bright with around 1000-1200 nits according to differing reviews. It's brighter for sure than my XF90 which is considered an awesome TV still today. It also has better local dimming with improved bloom reduction.

Sound is awesome for a TV as well even though I have a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 setup. I tested it and it puts out very clear sound. But I think the 85 inch version doesn't have the same speakers so please double check.

Dolby vision is really good.

The TV does rock a bit due to the odd stand. It won't tip over but it's not as stable as I would like. Wall mounting would be a better idea.

The remote is Bluetooth and backlit when you pick it up.

Android on it is super fast.

It was the best option outside of OLED in my opinion and I am absolutely satisfied with it.
