8500 Ram

My Ram is showing as 6400 Ram in Cpu z when it is the Geil 4gb (2gb each stick black dragon) 8500 1066mhz Ram do i have to overclock this myself or is cpuz reading it wrong also , if i do have to do it myself how? And is there danger of blowing the pc up?

There was never a Jedec standard for 8500 ram. So CPUZ is reading it right.
If it's like my 8500 Ballistix however, you should see a rating for 8500 ram in the timings table of the SPD tab in CPUZ, which shows the manufacturers recommended voltage rating to run at that speed.
