8500gt sli?

hello. every time i see a picture of the 8500gt, it has no sli tab on the card. yet it says on every review and description its sli ready. an example is the review on the gainward version of the card in another thread (sorry dont know where it went).

it clearly shows no tab. how does it sli?

You must be looking at the wrong card - the 8500GT clerarly has the SLI finger

EDIT : Actually googling 8500GT reviews shows that some have the connector and some dont

The Gigabyte and Asus ones deffo have the connector

What do 2 of the DDR3 8500GT's perform like in SLI anyhow? Xpert Vision do the 8500GT Sonic that has 600MHz Core and 1200MHz Mem, apparently it OC's nicley to over 700MHz core and upto 1600MHz on the RAM, only like £45 + VAT each, better than a single 8600GT?

yaha! so im not going mad! im glad someone else has seen these other pcb's

I'd deffo get the ones with the finger. You can run SLI without the bridge but it does take a performance hit.

Depending on how much youre paying tho you could get a better used card like a 7600GT/7800GT

oh i want going to get one at all. i just noticed 2 pics of the same card, and one had the tab and one didnt, got me thinking.

i wasnt aware sli could work withouth the dongle
