85Mb homeplug urgent response needed

I am wanting to connect up my network using homeplug/powerline will 85Mbps be enough to smoothly play 1080p video?

Depends on how good your wiring is. I think you need ~15MB to stream 1080p properly so poor wiring and you might be in trouble. If on a budget go for the 200mb and if not definitely the 500mb.

depends on his wiring... works for you if he has crappy wiring or wants them a long way from each other he may need higher rated ones (or it might not work at all)

I would say go for the 200mbps one at a minimum. Also as said it depends on the wiring of the house.

1080p what?
if mkv then you're looking at approx 12mbps but spiking higher.

You won't be getting near to the advertised 85mbps but you would probably be OK.
