Hi im in need of a opinion on a good dx10 card i was thinking of getting a BFG 8600GT anyone here who can give me some feed back on them?

So long as its not for games your'll be fine :p

Seriously you will need to clock the chips off the thing to get it as good as a x1950pro.
I have heard of 100% overclocks on the stock cooler but that was probably a case of 'yea it was really easy' then later we find they put liquid nitrogen on the north bridge, etc

The 8600 series are budget cards, they are generally aimed at people who want the latest features like HD, SM4 and DX10 support, but are on a very tight budget. As already said, you would be better with an X1950 for gaming.
