To sli one of these i have an Asus A8N SE SLI, this equates to 1x16 PCIE and 1x8 PCIE, will these work like that? I know to SLI 2 8800's you need 2x PCIEx16 slots.

I want 2x8600GT's after reading this article.

They should work, but they aint worth buying, a single GTS will blow them clean away, and also they will only work together in games that support SLi, if the game doesnt then you'll be running a single 8600 GT which even the x1950pro wallops.

2 X 8600GT's = approx. £160
1 x 8800GTS 320MB on This Week Only = £170

Think I know which option I'd go for.....

Go for the single 8800GTS. Easier to use and just as good if not better

Also leaves the option open for SLi with a second 8800GTS when they come down in price.
