Hi
I'm running a 19" monitor (primary) from the normal output and a 32" samsung HDTV (secondary) from the HDMI output on my 8600GTS. The 19" is fine but I am having trouble getting the HDTV to work properly.

The ideal res for it is 1360x768. However when I choose this from the display properties The picture goes really big and can only fit a small part of the picture on the actual screen. When I set it to 1920x1080 then I do not have this problem but the quality is very bad (as in the sharpness of characters etc). It is hard to read text or numbers which I assumed wouldn't happen with HD?
If I use a monitor cable to connect the TV instead of an HD lead then I can get 1360x768 nicely and the picture is great, however I want to run two monitors so this isn't possible.
I assume theres a really easy answer to this, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Using HDMI Samsung TVs for whatever reasons don't seem to like running from a PC (the older versions at least). I had to use the VGA connection when I had a 26" inch one set up.

I would run the 19" monitor from the HDMI port (if it has DVI) and use the DVI port to connect the TV up with VGA.

How can I run my normal monitor from the HD out? The only inputs on my monitor are standard monitor cable.
Fwiw Its a brand new TV so surely would be ok with running something like htis?

I did say if it has DVI ;)

If you have a look there seems to be a lot of people with the problem on loads of different Samsung models.

The Gfx card has DVI and HDMI outs. I'm using an adapter atm from the DVI to the VGA on my 19" and HDMI-HDMI via a HD cable to my 32".
**Sigh**
