8600GTS; toasty?

Just got a 8600GTS and when the cards under load (rthdribl, max everything running full screen) it's hit 75c. I wandered whether these are normal temps with a stock cooler for these cards?

As an aside, the fan speed doesn't pick up at all during load. (I gather there's a problem trying to manually set the fans speeds with the Nvidia driver and I've even tried using Rivatuner to increase the fan speed but that's not working either).

Running on XP, rig as per sig, all stock.

That temp is normal (well, slightly above), 145c is the "core slowdown threshold" if you get to that, then start worrying

That must not be right because my 8800GTS overclocked to 650/2.2ghz only gets to 77, sometimes not even 75

The 8800gts has a much better cooler, compared to the 8600 single slots.
