Hi all,
For the last 5 or so years I've been rocking a 4790k and recently upgraded to a 8700k with a maximus x hero motherboard.
Before delidding the cpu would reach 84+ degrees at 5.0ghz with 1.320 volts.. After trial and error and 1 hour of realbench followed by 3d mark and cinebench + gaming I think I have found my stable volts which to 1.340 volts for 5.0ghz 5.1 caused a BSOD after 5 minutes.
I've delidded the CPU and now it tops at mid 60s and after a while in realbench it peaks at around 73 using a 240mm AIO H105.
Are these good temps, how do the volts look? AVX set to 0, cache is 45. At least the delid has massively reduced my temps!
