I've had my 8800 ultra for almost a year now, it has handled everything ive thrown at it without any issues, but since the day i bought it ive had one problem which has persisted through re-formats and all driver revisions and im looking for some advice on whether its a problem with the nvidia drivers or the gfx card itself.
I run a dual display set up and have my vista sidebar on the secondary monitor, If i am surfing the web or playing fames on the primary display i have no problems, but occasionally when i watch a video file (AVI etc) or an embedded video in IE I occasionally get corruption all over the sidebar (which dissapears if i move the mouse), If i dont move the mouse to the opposite monitor and click anywhere on the desktop both displays will go black, and at that point i need to reset the pc.
Once i reset the pc, i get no errors and can continue what im doing untill this error happens again (usually once or twice a day if i am watching AVI's)
So has anyone heard of this problem?, board or drivers? I appreciate that this is somewhat of a long winded post but if anyone has any ideas to the problem id appreciate their advice.

I should add that the card is not overheating in anyway, recently i bought an accellero extreme to see if it was a temp issue as the gpu diode was at 52 deg with the stock cooler but to no avail.
temps, GPU 35, Diode 42, GPU MEM 35, Fan 1600 rpm
