8800 bios update solved Vista sleep issue

As Above really.

My GTX is an Inno3D brand. I bought it on release date way back before xmas.

I suspected my 4GB Geil ULL, which I hate but gives no errors. However, the bios beep on failed wake-up indicated a video error. I decided to update the gf cards bios to the latest from the same vendor, and lo and behold....

Vista sleep works a treat now

I'd never recommend updating the gf card bios unless you had a very good reason, you KNOW what you're doing, and you have a spare gf card and PCI express slot for recovery, but in this case I actually nailed the problem right on the head! Happy days!

While talking about bios's, has anyone tried a BFG OC2 bios on a stand INNO3D card before?
Would it work because my 8800GT arrives tomorrow & i'm tempted..!

Mainly evga but look at the other manufacturers.

I flashed my standard gts with the oc2 bios and that works fine, not sure about going to a different brand though.
