8800 & Bluetooth data sync

I can get a bluetooth unit to go inside my Dell lappy for £25 posted.

I have the 8800, got lots on of really important stuff on there i wana get off.

Can i use the bluetooth and the disc i got with the phone to take everything, music, pics, video, txt's, contacts off and put on my laptop then when i get my new phone back put it all back on again?

You can do, but you'd be better off downloading the newest copy of PC suite of the website. However apart from pictures, the phone will copy everythign over automatically. Turn it on without a SIM and the phone will give you a transfer option to transfer your contacts, schedual, etc, to another BT enable nokia. Quite handy. Go on try it.

Umm if it does that then no need for me to do it to the pc then as i can switch it to my backup phone...brill cheers dude. Have the bluetooth on order now anyways

It don't work, it doesn;t offer to trasnfer to any other BT phone! AKA my 6230

Yes it does. I'm looking at it now.

Turn the phone on, (without a SIM) card adn you should have a datasync option. Even with a SIM card, goto settings->configuration->data accounts and set up a new phone sync there.
