You won't regret buying the GTX, though I did wish you'd insist on mine to force me into getting a 3870.

No worries though, besides I want to give myself the weekend to mull it over.

To be honest, Video cards are the one thing I prefer to buy new. Just a personal preference.

And, Ulf, matey, dont get the 3870X2 - you'll be sorely dissapointed compared to your GTX.

Aye, I'd probably go the single 3870 and possibly second 3870 later route.
