Somewhere Fabulous...
Hi guys. Just popped in my brand new Galaxy 8800 GTS but am havin problems OCing the card. I've so far tried 2 driver versions (97.28 beta and 96.89WHQL) and had no joy. Basically in the new, and fankly horrible, nvidia control panel when i try to click on manual overclocking it doesn't unlock the sliders. Both the Factory Shipped Clock Frequncies and Manual Overclocking selectors are checked, the core (513Mhz) and memory (792Mhzx2) frequencies look a little odd and the sliders can't be activated. Anyone got any ideas what i can do to get round this? Also, anyone know howi can get back to the old style control pannel? thanks!

use atitool instead

as for going back to the old panel, do this.
open up regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies

change all three of the policy values to 2

ok, tried the registry thing, the values were already set to 2. gonna download riva tuner i think, had experience with it in the past. Is ATITool any better or worse than Riva Tuner?
