Hi need some advice
Im gonna get a quad core chip next week but for my next purchase (nothing like planning ahead),
Is it worth me getting an additional 8800 GTS 320MB for SLI, or flogging the card and getting a top range GTX with more memory instead.

I play all sorts of games, COH, HL2, FEAR, Flight Sim X, GTR at resolution of 1680x1050

Cheers guys

Get a Core2Duo for about 58 quid, OC it to 3Ghz then buy a 8800GTX after selling the GTS 320MB?

Just save money on the quad core and put it towards the GTX.

Pointless going SLi with 2x 320mb GTS's as you will still only have 320mb of Ram, so it won't make any difference when Dx10 games get here with their supposedly higher textures, as your still going to be memory limited. :)

GTX all the way.

I agree with above comments. 8800GTS 640MB SLi is a little better performance wise than a singel 8800GTX in real world applications. Though, the main reason I opted for SLi was because I wanted GTX equivilent performance and already had an 8800GTS.
