I have just help a friend sell is computer to one of my other friends.

However he is planning on ripping out the 320mb gts and replacing it with a gtx and said i could have the 320mb for £100.

I was planning on a 8800 series card anyway in the next month or so but was looking at the 640mb version not the 320mb.

For the price i can't complain, but i want to play the likes of UT3 and Crysis on full settings @ 1440 x 900.

A lot of people say go for the 640mb but will the 320mb be ok?

Also if it ever becomes a problem you could sell that card and put the money you earn towards something that will do the job (if the time comes that is).

for the price you wont be sorry

I say get the card for that price and try it out. You will very likely be very happy. If not, sell it on for 150-160 and buy the 640MB version.

Yep and by the time the 9800s come out you should still be able to sell the GTS for close to the £100 if not for the full amount. Go for it, dirt cheap for a stonker of a card :)

gotta agree 100 quid for a gts is a very good deal, and as others say sell it on when the next generation comes out

I have a 320MB GTS and it's absolutely great. I run it at 1680x1050, yet it absolutely eats anything I can throw at it. I'm glad I was shrewd enough to avoid the GTX as I feel it is unnecessary at this stage. :)

mmm... interesting.

I'm deffinetly buying the card, thats for sure.

He is buying my mates rig on Friday waiting for about 2 weeks then buying the gtx.

So about 3 weeks, woo hoo I'm excited.

I think ill keep it rather than sell it and see how i get on with new games.

I play at 1440 x 900, is that the best resolution fo a 19" WS monitor?

Also will it fit in my Antec 900 ok?

Oh and how many posts do i need to get into the members market?

Yea 1440x900 is the native res for a 19" WS, should fit your case fine, I think its around 300 or so to get into MM and been a member for 3 months?

GTX over the top

Yeah I realised after I bought my GTX that a GTS would have done me just fine, as I only run 1440x900 and 1280x1024. Still, nice to know the power is there for games etc to take advantage of.

SupCom still stutters at times though, on the later stages with 500 of my own units on screen attacking probably 500 of the enemy.
