8800 gtx bfg problem

Hi

I just built my first pc, booted it up and after about a min the screen goes weird (i don't know what to explain it) kinda blocky, can't read anything (im still on the bios screen), and it's just weird. The card has gone back to ocuk to get checked out and hopefully replaced, but im wondering could it be anything else!!

Sounds very much like the card is faulty.

yeah thank god for that if it is, as im **** scared that i could have been something else!!!!.

And the other things is if i plug the dvi lead into the left dvi socket on the card the screen goes odd in about a min, but if i plug it in the right dvi socket it takes longer 2-3 mins but it still happens

I think corruption on the BIOS screen = dead card, most likely RAM.
