8800 GTX Noise levels

I am looking to get the OC version of the above.

How noisy is it?

Would anyone know how it might compare to the wonderfully quiet HIS X1900XT have I currently have?

Are there quieter 8800GTX's out there?

my 8800gtx is lots quieter than my old x1800xt.

I can't compare to the X1900 but my 8800GTS is fairly quiet, I can hear it under load when the temp reaches 80C due to almost no case airflow but at idle it is quieter than the PSU and radiator fan

Makes as much noise as a standard 120mm case fan so pretty quiet.

I cant hear mine at 60% fan (idle) load.
In games the fan load increases as it gets hotter (on auto), though when you're playing a game a noisy fan aint a big deal.
Stalker is the only game I've found where I can hear the fan.

Dunno about EVGA.
Guess water would be silent.
I find the thought of a passive cooler on a 8800GTX scary.

I would not be worried about the noise of a 8800GTX unless the rest of your rig is stone silent.
