Anyone using these in SLI.

The BFG 8800GTX@£400 is very tempting. Couple of questions though.

Is their any problem using two different GTX boards i.e. an XFX and BFG in SLI.

I currently have my XFX 8800GTX@625/2000 can you still overclock reliably using sli. Caveat I presume is that the BFG card would need to be capable of 625/2000.

Also thinking to purchase a Dell 3007WFP anyone using these with the 8800's?

Cheers

You can use any brand of board together in SLI as long as there the same type of card.

You can still overclock in SLI no problems

Hey matey,

I first had an XFX 8800GTX, then bought a BFG 8800GTX from OCuk... using from two different manfacturers is no problem as at this stage (excluding XFX XXX editions)

I have them running on the EVGA 680i mobo... with a whopping great Dell 3007WFP

My XFX would overclock to 630/2080... but the BFG won't surpass 610/1980... so I'm stuck with them both running @ 610/1980 (both seem to have to run at the same speed)

Running these in SLI is amazing... FEAR at 2560x1600 with 4xAA and 16x AF with an average frame rate of 58 and a minimum of 42 :D

Company of Heroes with AA and AF at 2560x1600 without a single slowdown (damn I love the graphics in that game!)

Most demanding games I can think of and they both run flawlessly :D

Would recommend 8800gtx sli/3700 combo to anyone.

Very nice.

Bummer on the O/C with your BFG I assumed the BFG would clock well, luck of the draw I guess.

Glad you can run COH at that resolution don't suppose you have any of the Dawn of War games do you. I really wanna know if Dark Crusade can run at 2560 x 1600 as that is still my main game of choice at the mo, well aside from oblivion and fear which i just got as xmas pressies.

Nice having a comp that can run the latest games again my 6800 based system was getting long in the tooth to say the least.

Noticed you have the X-Fi any thoughts. I was thinking of replacing my Audidgy 2 ZS with one only gonna be using 5.1 though so not sure if its worth it. Why creative don't use PCI-E x1 as well as PCI is beyond me. Finding a spare PCI slot is a bit of a pain.
