Just been looking at the 8800 series of cards, can someone explain to me the basic difference between the GT, GTS, GTX and Ultra, i'm guessing the Ultra is top end, but the rest i'm lost with!
Later the new gts will come out and take it's place between the GT and the GTX.

If they're unconfirmed then there's no way you can say "Wrong!" is there.Wrong! New GTS will beat Ultra say most unconfirmed reports![]()

Probably at the moment the 8800 GT is best bang for the buck
Until the new range of G92 based 8800's come out, the only 8800 you should consider is the 8800GT 512mb (which has the new core). Unless you have money to burn and can afford the 8800GTX for twice the dosh, and more for ultra versions, that run a few (and in some cases less!) FPS than the GT.

I won't be running on a screen bigger than 19" so I should be fine with a 512MB GT yeah?
Any particular branding I should go for, it seems as though EVGA have a good step up scheme?
Question really is if a 512MB GT will run crysis alongside 4gb ddr2 ram and a 2.4ghz overclocked q6600?
I deny your unconfirmed status![]()

At the moment the performance chart of Nvidia is the following
8800 GTS G80
8800 GT/ 8800 GTS G80 with 112 sp
8800 GTX/ 8800 GTS G92 with 128 sp (release date now mid December)
8800 Ultra
